Guanajuato road trip

Jules and Nestor took us on a weekend trip to Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende. They were gorgeous places and very different to anything else we had seen. I got my first wind of travellers belly but as we were with two doctors I got sorted out very quickly (Thanks to Jules & Lily). We sang karaoke, watched terrifying processions, met our first scorpion (where we were gonna sleep), went to a creepy and amazing mummy museum and did lots of pueblear ('towning').
 Guanajuato
Guanajuato's local hero El Pipila
Lots of men were carrying these beautiful flowers in heavy ropes... who would have guessed what they turned into at night?!
This.
More procession photos.
San Miguel de Allende
And the Disney castle.
Another procession, lots and lots of horses, cowboy boots and hats.
The mummy museum. The baby is the smallest mummified human in the world, tragic.
And a terrible photo, but proof of the scorpion.
